Khandach Marbles

Our place, Khandach Marbles, is right in the middle of the Marble Mandi in Madanganj. It’s quite close to the Industrial Area too. If you’ve ever been to the Mandi, you know how chaotic it can be. There are tractors, trucks, and people everywhere. We’ve got a spot where we keep our slabs lined up. It’s nothing special to look at, just a lot of stone and a small shed. We spend most of our mornings talking to drivers and making sure the loads are secure. It’s a lot of responsibility because if a slab cracks, that’s it. We don’t use any high-pressure sales tactics. We just tell people what we have and what the price is. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for years. They stop by, have a bit of tea, and look at what’s new in the yard. The noise from the surrounding cutters is constant, so you have to talk a bit louder than usual. We’ve been in this trade for a long time, and we’ve seen the Mandi grow and change. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it’s what we know. We just open the gates early and stay until the sun goes down. It’s pretty straightforward work for us.
