Kapil Marble Traders

Our place, Kapil Marble Traders, is tucked away in the Riico Old Industrial Area of Madanganj. We are situated very near the Marble Mandi, so there is always a lot of activity and noise around us. The old industrial area is a bit more cramped than the newer zones, but we have been here for a long time and we like the spot. It has a bit of history to it for our family. We mostly deal with other marble traders and people who are building their own houses. The yard is usually packed with slabs leaning against one another. You have to be careful when you are walking between the rows so you don’t trip or bump into anything. My father was the one who started this business, and now I run the daily operations with just a couple of workers to help me. We don’t spend our money on fancy lights or a big, polished office space. We would much rather just show the stone exactly as it is under the natural light. Most of our day is spent checking the polish on the slabs and talking to the drivers who bring the materials in. Sometimes we sit and have tea with the neighbors from the other shops. Everyone knows everyone else in this part of Madanganj. The road out front is quite narrow, so loading the big trucks takes a lot of care. We are here every day.
