Kalyan Marbles

Kalyan Marbles is right on Makrana Road in Madanganj. You can find us across from Aclos Marble, which is a big landmark for people who are trying to locate our shop. This part of Madanganj is always covered in a thin layer of white dust because of all the stone work going on. It’s just the way it is here. Our shop isn't anything fancy, just a place where we keep the marble and handle the customers who come by. The road outside is always busy with big trucks carrying slabs back and forth, so it’s never really quiet. We spend a lot of our time standing around the yard, showing people the different patterns in the stone. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and bargaining. We don't use any corporate scripts when we talk to folks. We just tell it like it is and show them what we’ve got on the lot. Sometimes the sun gets really hot on the road, but we just find some shade and keep going. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, so we know most of the other owners on Makrana Road. It’s a tough business but we are used to the grind. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just open the gates in the morning and see what the day brings. Most of the time, it’s just hard work and a lot of marble.
