Jakhetiya Marbles

Jakhetiya Marbles is easy to find because we have that corner plot right on Makrana Road in the Chorwa area. Being in the RIICO Industrial Area of Madanganj means it’s always loud with the sound of saws and machines, but that’s just the sound of work getting done. I’ve been working here a long time, and the corner spot is nice because we have a bit more space to turn the trucks around. Dealing with marble is a slow process sometimes. You have to wait for the right pieces to come in and then hope people like the patterns. No two pieces are ever the same, which makes it interesting even after all these years. We aren't fancy people. We wear our work clothes and we talk plain. If you come by, you’ll probably see us moving some slabs around or sitting in the shade for a minute. The wind blows through the yard and carries the dust everywhere, so everything has a thin layer of white on it. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We don’t have any big goals other than just selling the stone we have and making enough to keep the yard going. My kids sometimes come by and help out, which is nice. It’s a family-run kind of thing, nothing more and nothing less. Just look for the corner plot and you’ll see our stacks of stone waiting there.
