Granite Slabs

If you look for us near the Bus Stand on Ajmer Road, you’ll find our yard right there on the way to Tugra Road. It's usually quite busy with the traffic from the main stand. We have been working with stone here in Kishangarh for a while now. Most days are just about moving slabs and checking what came in from the cutters. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the road. We spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks so people can actually see what they are looking at. It isn't a fancy setup. We have the cranes and the basic equipment needed to load up the trucks that stop by. Sometimes people get lost looking for the specific turn near the bus stand, so we tell them to just keep an eye out for the big piles of granite. It's just a regular local business. My family and a few workers handle everything from the paperwork to the actual heavy lifting. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for deliveries to arrive. Kishangarh is a huge hub for this kind of work, so we are just one of the many spots along this stretch of road. We deal with different types of granite that come through this area. Some pieces are rough, others are smoothed out. It takes a lot of space to keep everything separated. You learn to recognize the patterns after a few years. It’s heavy work, but it’s what we know.
