Diwach Marble

Our business, Diwach Marble, is located right at the Harmada Road Chauraha in the Marble City area of Ajmer. Being at a crossroads means there is always something happening outside our door. The noise of the traffic is just something we have lived with for years. We have a good amount of space here to display the blocks and slabs we get in. It is not a shiny showroom like you might see in a magazine. It is a working yard where the ground is uneven and the marble is stacked high. We spend the day walking between the rows of stone, showing people the different grains and colors that come out of the earth. Sometimes we have to use a bucket of water to show how the colors will look once the stone is polished up. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We don't believe in using fancy language to describe a rock. It is either what you want or it isn't. The office is small and usually has a bit of dust on the chairs, but the tea is always hot if someone wants a cup. We have a regular routine of checking the gates and making sure the loading is done right so nobody gets hurt. It is just life in the heart of the marble district.
