D.D. Stonex

D.D. Stonex is sitting on Paryavaran Marg in Madanganj. Being here in Ajmer means we get some really hot days, especially when the sun hits the stone slabs in the yard. It can get blinding if you don't wear a hat. We have been working out of this location for some time now. Our days start pretty early because that’s when the drivers like to drop off the new loads. You can hear the engines humming from down the road. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is just a yard with some stone and a place to talk to customers who walk in. Most people who come to Paryavaran Marg are looking for something specific for their house or a building project. We walk around with them, moving between the rows of stone. Sometimes we have to spray a little water on the slabs so they can see the true color hidden under the dust. It’s a messy job, and your boots are always dirty. We don't mind it much. It’s just how the stone business works. We keep things pretty straightforward. No big speeches or fancy brochures. We just show you the pieces we have, tell you the price, and figure out how to get it onto your truck. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over Madanganj.
