Chand Marbles

Our shop, Chand Marbles, is located in the III Phase of the Industrial Area in Madanganj. We are right near the railway line. You can hear the trains passing by all day long, which is something we just got used to over the years. Being near the tracks means it’s a bit of a noisy spot, but it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We keep a lot of marble slabs in our yard. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have any fancy displays or a big showroom with lights. Most of the stone is just sitting out there in the sun so people can see exactly what they are getting. We spend our days walking around the yard and helping people look through the piles of slabs. It’s dusty work, and your boots are always white by the end of the shift. We aren’t trying to be the biggest or most famous place in Madanganj. We just want to do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our short breaks. It’s a local business run by local people. We handle the loading ourselves or with a couple of helpers who have been with us for a while. It's a lot of physical effort, especially in the summer heat. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful when someone stops by the yard. It's a simple life.
