Capricorn Marbles Pvt. Ltd.

Our place, Capricorn Marbles Pvt. Ltd., is spread across a few plots, from G 1-80 to 83, in the Phase III Industrial Area of Madanganj. It’s a pretty large space because we needed the extra room for all the stone we keep. Being in the industrial area means it’s always noisy with machines running nearby and tractors humming along the lanes. It’s not exactly a quiet neighborhood, but it’s where all the work happens. We spend most of our time out in the yard or near the sheds. The plots are connected, so we move back and forth between them all day. It can get a bit confusing for someone visiting the first time since the numbering in Phase III is a little jumpy, but once you find G 1-80, you’ve found us. We don’t have a big polished front office or anything. It’s mostly just where we handle the slabs and get them ready. The ground is usually covered in stone chips and water from the cutters. It’s hard work, and the guys are always busy with the cranes. We’ve set things up so we can get the trucks in and out without too much trouble. It’s a basic industrial setup, nothing too special to look at, just a lot of stone and some heavy machinery. We just focus on getting the slabs sorted and making sure the inventory is right. We have been working here for quite some time and it's just how we live.
