Asmi Stonex

If you head down Rahimpura Road or Makrana Road towards Kali Dungri, you’ll find Asmi Stonex. We are tucked away in Madangarh. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but this is where the work happens. The area is full of stone yards and big machines. Our place is usually buzzing with the sound of cranes and people shouting to get things moved correctly. We have a lot of different stones sitting around in stacks. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We spend our hours walking the yard, checking the edges of the slabs for cracks or chips. It’s not easy work. Your hands get rough and the dust is everywhere. When customers come all the way out to Kali Dungri, we make sure to give them time to look around properly. Stone is something you can’t rush. You have to see how the light hits it. We don't have any polished sales talk. We just stand there with you and look at the rock. Sometimes we share a tea and talk about the weather or how the road is getting fixed. It’s a slow process from the time the stone arrives to when it leaves on a customer’s truck. We just keep the gates open and handle the daily tasks as they come. It’s what we know how to do, and we’ve been doing it a long time now.
