Amardeep Marbles

Our place, Amardeep Marbles, is located over at Plot No. E-235 on Paryavaran Marg. It’s right across the road from CB Marble, so it’s easy enough to find if you know this part of Madanganj. This area is always full of trucks and people moving stone. We spend most of our time out in the yard checking the stock. The sun hits the slabs pretty hard in the afternoon, which actually helps see the patterns in the stone better. We have different types of marble piled up depending on what we could get that week. It’s mostly just us and a couple of workers who handle the heavy stuff. It's noisy around here because of all the nearby factories, but we've gotten used to it over the years. We keep a simple ledger of what comes in and what goes out. People often just pull over their trucks and walk in to see what’s available. We don’t do much advertising; word of mouth usually brings folks to our gate. Sometimes a customer wants a specific cut, and we try to get it sorted as soon as we can. The tea stall down the street is where we usually grab a break. It’s a straightforward business. We show you the stone, you pick what you like, and we figure out the transport. Nothing more to it than that really. There is always a lot of work to do.
