Adeshwar Marble

Adeshwar Marble is out on Makrana Road, right near the NRL petrol pump. If you’re driving on NH-8 in the Nagaur district, you’ve probably passed us plenty of times. The highway is always humming with trucks and cars, and the dust from the road tends to settle on everything. We spend a lot of time out in the yard. It's a big open space because marble takes up a lot of room. We have slabs leaning against the frames and some crates piled up in the back. Working out here near the petrol pump means there’s always some activity. Drivers stop for fuel and sometimes wander over to see what we’re doing. It’s a practical place, not a fancy office with air conditioning. We have a small room where we keep the books and take a break when the sun gets too hot. Nagaur is a big area for this kind of work, so we fit right in with the neighbors. Most days involve a lot of lifting and moving things with the machines. We try to keep things simple. No one here wears a suit. We just wear our regular work clothes and get on with the day. Sometimes the wind picks up and we have to cover everything up. It’s just honest work with stone. People find us because of the location on the highway, and we like it that way. It's been our home for a long time and we know the stone well.
