Shohala Ana Odia

Shohala Ana Odia is our little place in Bhubaneshwar. We are located at Plot no-42 on Sachivalaya Marg in Unit-4, right in the Madhusudan Nagar area. If you find the Andhra Bank nearby, we are right there next to it. Our zip code is 751022. We really wanted to have a place that served the kind of food we grew up with here in Odisha. It is not a corporate office or anything like that. It is just a restaurant where we cook every day. The staff is mostly local folks who know the traditional flavors well. We spend a lot of time sourcing the right ingredients from the local markets around town. Sachivalaya Marg is a very busy street, so we get a lot of office workers coming in for their lunch break. We try to keep things simple and not too expensive for them. The building is just a regular one on Plot 42. We do not have a big sign with flashing lights. It is just us. Sometimes we run out of certain dishes because we only make a set amount each day. We think that is better than serving old food to people. My sister helps with the plating and I stay in the back mostly. It is a good life, even if it is tiring sometimes. People in Madhusudan Nagar have been very good to us.
