Sarojini Family Restaurant

We started this place on Tankapani Road because we saw a lot of people looking for a decent meal near Annapurna Tower. It is a family-run spot. We are not trying to be a five-star place, just a kitchen where you can get a hot plate of food. Ravi Talkies is close by, so we get people coming in after a movie sometimes. The chairs might not match perfectly and the menu is stuff we know how to cook well. My cousin handles the kitchen mostly. It gets busy during the lunch hour when office workers come in from the nearby buildings. We use local vegetables from the market every morning. Some days the spice levels might vary a bit depending on who is at the stove, but that is how home cooking works. We do not have a big website or fancy signs. Just a board outside. People know us for being near the tower. It is a simple setup with tables and fans. We stay open late enough for the dinner crowd to finish their meals. It feels good when regular customers come back twice a week. We do not do anything fancy with the plating. The food just goes on the plate and gets served hot. It is a lot of work keeping everything running, but we like being part of the Bhubaneshwar food scene. Sometimes it is noisy with the traffic from the main road, but you get used to it after a while.
