Patrika Family Restaurant

You can find us at Plot Number 525 on the Puri Bhubaneswar Road in Samantarapur. Being on this main road means we get a lot of travelers passing through between the two cities. We started Patrika Family Restaurant because we saw a lot of people looking for a place to stop and eat that didn't feel like a fast-food chain. Our place is pretty straightforward. We have enough space for families to sit together comfortably. The kitchen is where most of the action happens. We try to keep a variety of dishes available because people have different tastes when they’re traveling. It’s not a fancy establishment; the floors are plain and the tables are sturdy. We focus more on the quality of the food than the decorations on the walls. The staff is mostly local kids from around Bhubaneshwar who are hardworking. Sometimes when a big bus pulls in, we all have to run around a bit faster to make sure everyone gets served. The heat in Odisha can be tough, but we have fans going to keep the air moving. We don't use any complicated recipes, just the stuff we grew up eating. It’s a lot of work keeping a restaurant going on such a busy road, but we’ve managed to stay open and keep the fires burning. We’re just a regular family-run spot trying to do a good job for the people who stop by.
