LEMON GRASS

If you are looking for us, we are at 8 B in Jaydev Vihar, right inside the Mayfair Hotel and Resorts in Bhubaneshwar. Being inside the resort grounds means we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and nice paths, which is a change from the busy streets outside. We have been operating here for a while, serving food to both hotel guests and people coming in from the city. The kitchen is the heart of our place, and it stays quite hot and busy most of the day. We have a team of cooks who have been with us for years. They know the recipes by heart and don't need much instruction anymore. We don't put on any acts here; we are just a restaurant trying to serve decent food. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when it's really humid outside, or a table wobbles, but we just fix it and keep moving. We get a lot of groups and families, so it can get quite loud during the dinner service. We just try to keep the water glasses full and the food coming out on time. It is a practical way of running things. We appreciate the people who choose to eat with us, and we just try to make sure they leave with a full stomach. Most of our staff lives nearby and they have been with us through many seasons, helping us keep the kitchen running smooth.
