Sodpur Farmer Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Village Andhari Ambali, which is part of the Nadiad area in Kheda. We operate out of Prabhatsinh Udesinh Sodhaparmar’s place. It’s very much a rural setup where you can smell the earth and see the fields right from the doorstep. Being a farmer producer company means we spend a lot of time talking to the local growers. Most of us grew up here, so we know every inch of the land around Nadiad. The office is really just a simple room with a table and some plastic chairs for when the farmers come to visit. We don’t have any fancy software to manage things, just some old-fashioned notebooks and a lot of patience. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside in the shade of the neem tree and finish our conversations there. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don’t care about looking like a big company because that’s not what we are. We are just a group of people from the village trying to manage our harvests and sales together. Life moves at a different pace in Kheda. You won't find anyone in a suit here. We are usually in our everyday clothes, probably with a bit of mud on our boots if we’ve just come from the fields. It’s just us, doing what we know how to do. There is no stress about looking perfect, just getting the crops sold.
