Divine Tubes Pvt. Ltd. takes up quite a bit of space here in Phase-1 of the Gidc Estate. We are spread across several plots, numbers 401, 402, and then 412 through 414. It sounds like a lot, but when you are dealing with long tubes and pipes, you really need that extra room to move things around without hitting the walls. Walking between the different plots keeps us on our feet all day. We spend most of our time moving metal from one side of the shop to the other. It’s a lot of physical work, and the floors are always covered in a bit of metal shavings or dust. We don’t have much of a fancy front office; usually, the desk is covered in scribbled notes and old coffee cups. The guys in the back know exactly where every size of tube is kept, even if it looks like a mess to someone just walking in. We deal with the usual Gidc problems, like the power flickering or the trucks getting stuck in the narrow lanes during the rainy season. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. We’ve been here long enough that we can tell which machine is running just by the sound it makes. Most of us just wear our old work clothes and don't worry too much about looking polished. We just want to get the orders loaded and sent out.
