Dadhi Baman (Junior) College

Dadhi Baman (Junior) College is situated in Turumunga, which is a quiet part of the Keonjhar district. The college was started because there was a clear need for a place where local students could continue their studies after high school without having to move to a big city. Our building is a plain, functional structure that serves its purpose well. Most of the students who come here are from the surrounding rural areas, often arriving by bus or even walking from nearby spots. It is a very different vibe than what you would find in a city college. You will often see students sitting in the shade of the trees during their breaks, just going over their notes or talking with friends. We do not have a lot of expensive facilities or high-end technology. It is mostly about the lectures and the books. The staff here are locals who understand the community and the kind of challenges the students face. We just try to provide a steady place for learning so that these young people can get their certificates and move on to the next stage of their lives. The pace in Turumunga is a bit slower, which I think helps everyone stay focused on what they are doing. We have had many different groups of students pass through these halls over the years. It is a humble place, but it is an important part of our local community here in the 758046 area.
