Weavers Shepherd

Weavers Shepherd is located at No. 24 on the 3rd Cross in Anna Nagar. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop but not too bad. The space isn’t very big but we make it work. Most of what we do involves various fabrics and weaving work. There are a couple of old looms in the back that make a lot of noise when they’re running. We spend most of our time there. The front area is where we keep the finished stacks of cloth. It smells like raw cotton and dust in here most days. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's more of a workspace where people can come in and see what we're doing. Some days the colors we get aren't exactly what we expected but we find a use for them anyway. It's just a few of us working together. We try to keep the place tidy but with all the thread and yarn, it’s hard. Customers usually live nearby or know us from years back. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the area. We just want to keep the machines running and get the orders out on time. The lighting isn't the best in the evening, so we try to get the detailed work done while the sun is still out. It’s a steady kind of life. We enjoy the work and the people who come by to visit us.
