Kadavur Collective Farming Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in Karur, specifically in the Kadavur area, we started this collective farming group a while back. Our base is at No.5/223 in Kurumbapatti, which is near the Palaviduthi post office. It is a rural spot, and that is exactly where we need to be to stay close to the land. The whole point was to bring the farmers from around Tharagampatti together into one group. When you farm alone, everything costs more and you have less power in the market. So, we set up this producer company to handle things together. It is not a fancy operation at all. Most days, you will find us out in the fields or sitting in the shade near the office talking about the next crop cycle. The road out here can be a bit bumpy, but it is our home. We deal with whatever the land gives us, whether it is grains or vegetables. The weather in Karur is often quite hot and dry, so we spend a lot of time thinking about irrigation. My uncle helps with the paperwork because he is good with the government forms we have to file. We do not have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the work we do in the dirt actually pays off at the end of the month. It is a lot of coordination, and sometimes we disagree on the best way to do things, but we always figure it out. That is just life.
