Dates India & Saliah Dates Nursery

Down here at No. 20 Manathattai Agraharam in Kulithalai, things move at a bit of a slower pace. We are pretty close to Trichy, so people find us easily enough when they are looking for Dates India & Saliah Dates Nursery. It’s mostly just us working in the dirt every day with the plants. Growing date palms isn't exactly a fast process. You have to be patient and keep an eye on the water and the soil constantly. Our place isn't some big corporate setup with glass walls. Mostly, it’s just a practical nursery where the work happens outdoors. We have different varieties of date saplings sitting out in the sun. Some days it is quite hot, but that is what these trees like. A lot of time goes into checking the roots and making sure everything is growing right. Usually, if someone stops by, they’ll see us moving bags or pruning something. We don't have a big sales team or anything. The place is run by staff who know the plants. If you come by the Agraharam area, you’ll see where we keep all the nursery stock lined up. Most of our day is spent on the daily chores of keeping the nursery going. It's manual labor, honestly. We’ve stayed at this spot because the land works for what we need. This is a simple operation. Just some people who know how to handle date trees and plenty of space. There is always mud around after it rains, but that comes with running a nursery.
