You can find us at the Kavya Hotel Complex in Manmangalam. It’s a well-known spot in Karur, right at 1/144 A. Being a collective farming group, we have a lot of people involved. It’s not just one person running things. It’s a whole group of farmers coming together. We call ourselves Karuvai Kaveri because the river is so important to everything we do here. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a room where we meet and discuss what's happening in the fields. We talk about prices, seeds, and the weather. Most of us have been farming our whole lives, so we know how tough it can be to do it alone. That’s why we formed this producer company. It helps us stay organized. We aren't professional writers or marketing experts. We are just people who know the soil. When you come by the complex, you'll likely see a few of us sitting around with our ledgers. We handle everything from the collective buying to making sure everyone gets a fair shake. It’s a lot of coordination. Karur is our home and we want to see the local farmers do okay. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just work together because it’s better than working alone. The paperwork can be a headache sometimes, but we get through it. We’ve been at this for a while and the community seems to appreciate having a central place to meet and discuss the daily work.
