We are a group of women from Sarsam in the Himayat Nagar area who decided to start this company. It is based at House Number 396/1. For a long time, the women here have been doing a lot of the heavy lifting on the farms but we did not have much of a say in the actual business side of things. We wanted to change that situation. Now we manage our own crops and handle the selling ourselves. It has been a big learning curve for all of us involved. We meet up at the house to talk about everything from seed prices to which markets are currently buying at the best rates. It is not a fancy office, just a place where we feel comfortable speaking our minds. We help each other out when someone is having a bad harvest or when the rain does not come when it is supposed to. Most of us have kids and houses to look after too, so we are always kept busy. But doing this together makes the hard work feel a bit lighter. We focus on what grows well in our Sarsam soil. We do not use big words or have complicated corporate plans. We just want to make sure our families are okay and that our work in the fields is worth the effort. It is nice to see more women in the village getting involved. We are just taking things one day at a time, trying to grow our business.
