Jaibharath Farmers Producer Company Limited

You can find us over at H No 2-15 in Chigurumamidi. This is where we run our farmers company. It’s not really a company in the way people in the city think of it. It’s just us, the local farmers, using this house to keep our business organized. We don't have computers or high-tech stuff. We just use big paper registers and pens to track what everyone is growing. We got together because it’s cheaper to buy supplies in bulk. Chigurumamidi is a quiet place and we like it that way. The office is usually full of the smell of tea and the sound of people talking about the weather. We spend most of our time outdoors anyway. The paperwork is just something we have to do. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just want to make sure we can sell our harvests without losing money. It’s a lot of physical labor and we all have callouses on our hands. We help each other out with the transport and the storage. Sometimes the rain makes the roads to the office very muddy, but we still show up. We are just neighbors who have known each other for years and decided to work together. It’s a simple arrangement that works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the chores.
