Manakondur Farmers Producer Company Limited is based out of H.No.1-83 in the village of Laxmipur. It’s a small place, and most of the people who work here are usually out in the fields rather than sitting behind a desk. We’ve got this one main room in Laxmipur where we keep all the records and talk to the farmers when they drop by. It gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but it serves us just fine. We handle a lot of the local produce movements from here. Since we are a farmers' producer group, our whole day is basically tied to the seasons. When it’s harvest time, H.No.1-83 is a very busy spot with people coming and going at all hours. We don’t have any fancy marketing people or a big front office. It’s just us and the farmers trying to make a living. Laxmipur is a good spot for this because everyone knows each other and we can keep an eye on how the crops are doing. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to do everything by hand, but we’re used to it. We just want to make sure the company stays steady so the folks in Manakondur have a place to bring their stuff. It’s hard work, and we don’t spend much time worrying about how the office looks as long as the work gets done and everyone gets paid fairly for their efforts.
