Ajmera Soti Transport

We started this transport business in Timmapuram because it's where we live. House Number 7-58 is our base. It's a small place in the Yellareddipeta mandal, part of the wider Karimnagar area. We move goods from one place to another. It isn't a glamorous job. Most days are spent looking at the road and making sure the trucks are running okay. We have a few drivers who have been with us for years. They know the shortcuts and the bad roads that are better to avoid. It gets very dusty out here, and the heat in the summer can be tough on the engines. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. We just sit out front and wait for the next load to come in. Sometimes it’s farm produce, other times it’s construction materials. We don't really do much advertising. People in the village and the nearby towns just know our name. My cousin helps me with the accounts in the evenings. It’s a family effort to keep everything moving. We have had our share of breakdowns and flat tires in the middle of nowhere. That’s just part of the trade. We focus on getting the cargo to where it needs to go without too much fuss. It's a steady life and we are used to the long hours. We’ve seen the district change a lot, but the need to move stuff stays the same.
