Kesoram Cement

I’m O. Laxminarsaiah and I live and work right here in the staff colony at Basantnagar. My quarter number is D1-8B. It’s a unique way to live, being so close to where the Kesoram Cement plant is. You live with your coworkers and your neighbors are the people you see in the office every day. The colony is a bit like a small village of its own. We have our own routine here. I’ve been part of this setup for a while, and it’s a simple life. Most of my work involves handling the administrative side of things for the cement operations. We have a lot of paperwork that comes through, and since I’m right here, I’m often the one people come to when they have a quick question or need a form signed. The atmosphere is very practical. We aren't worried about looking like a big corporation. We just want to make sure the cement gets produced and sent out like it’s supposed to. On the weekends, we might just sit out on the porch and talk about things other than work, but work is never too far away. It’s a decent place to be, and the community in the staff colony is tight-knit. We all look out for each other. It’s not a fancy life, but it is a steady one and we are used to the rhythm of the plant nearby.
