Shri Balaji Cements

Our place is at Plot No.128/1289 in the Y-Block of Kidwai Nagar. If you know the area, it’s a fairly busy neighborhood and we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know us. Shri Balaji Cements is a pretty hands-on operation. There is always a layer of grey dust on the windows no matter how often we clean them, but that’s just the nature of dealing with cement. We have a small office area, but most of the action happens where the loading takes place. It’s loud and busy, especially when a delivery arrives. We don’t use a lot of complicated software or high-tech gadgets. A lot of our record-keeping is still done by hand in big books. It feels more reliable that way. The team is small and we’ve worked together for years, so we don't need to say much to get things moving. Sometimes we have to deal with delays or issues with the supplies, but we just figure it out as we go. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes, but we always manage to get the orders out. Customers come in looking for specific things, and we do our best to find what they need in the stacks. It isn’t the most glamorous job, but it’s steady and it keeps us busy. We like the rhythm of the work here in Kidwai Nagar and the people we see every day.
