Gujarat Anjan Cement Limited (Jaypee Group)

Our office is located at 374, Shiv Puarm, in the Jarauli 1 area of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. We are part of the Gujarat Anjan Cement Limited group, which is under the Jaypee Group umbrella. Kanpur is a very busy city, and our little spot in Shiv Puarm is no exception. There are always people moving around and the sounds of the city coming in through the windows. The building itself is just a regular brick and mortar setup, nothing like those tall glass towers you see in the bigger metros. We focus on the cement side of the business, which involves a lot of talking to transporters and checking on delivery schedules. It can get quite hectic when a big order is moving out. The winters here in UP can be really biting, so we usually have a small electric heater tucked under the main desk to keep our feet warm. In the summer, it's the opposite and we just pray the power doesn't go out so the fans keep spinning. We aren't here to give anyone a big sales pitch or anything like that. We just do the work that needs doing, filing the reports and making sure the accounts are settled. The neighborhood has a few small shops where we grab samosas or tea in the afternoon when we need a break. It's a very grounded, practical place to work every day. It is not always perfect, but we manage to get through the stack of paperwork.
