You can find Satnam Salt Sales & Traders over on Kanpur Road. We are at Shop No-3, right near the PCS godown. It is a busy industrial stretch of road, and we are directly opposite the Cheene godown in Krishna Nagar. The location is very practical for what we do, which is mostly moving salt around and dealing with traders. There are always trucks idling outside, and the air usually tastes a bit like exhaust and salt dust. It isn't the cleanest place to work, but it is where the business happens. The shop is small and mostly filled with paperwork and samples. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or talking to drivers who are coming in from long trips. It gets very loud with the traffic on Kanpur Road, so we usually have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have any fancy lounge for visitors; if you come by, you’ll probably end up standing near the counter or sitting on a plastic chair. It is just a basic setup that works for us. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have seen the area change as more godowns were built up. We just keep our heads down and focus on the salt trades.
