Sahu Aata Chakki

Down at 119/500, near Shyam Bhawan Chauraha, you will find Sahu Aata Chakki. We are right in the Darshan Purwa part of Gumti No 5. Our place is a bit different from the other shops around here because we have the big grinding machines running all day long. The air is always a little white from the flour dust, and the sound of the motor is something you can hear from down the street. People bring their own wheat in large sacks, and we grind it fresh for them. It is honest work, even if it is a bit loud and messy. We also keep some ready-made flour and other grains if someone is in a rush. The shop is at a busy corner, so there is always something to watch while the machines are working. We have been doing this for a long time, and we know exactly how people like their flour ground, whether fine or a bit coarse. It is a local service for the families living around Darshan Purwa. We do not have fancy packaging; we just put the flour back into the bags people bring. It is a basic need, and we are glad to be the ones providing it at 119/500. The floor needs sweeping many times a day, and our clothes are always covered in flour, but that is just part of the job. We are usually here from dawn until the evening market closes.
