Our place is located at X1/170 in Krishnapuram, right along the GT Road. Being on such a major highway means there is never a quiet moment. The roar of the traffic is something we’ve just learned to live with. It’s a very practical location for us because the trucks can get in and out relatively easily, though the traffic can be a nightmare during peak hours. We handle a lot of the cement distribution from this point. The building itself is pretty plain, just a workspace where we keep our records and manage the incoming shipments. Outside, the yard is where most of the heavy lifting happens. We see a lot of different faces every day—drivers from all over, local builders, and the occasional passerby asking for directions. The dust from the road and the cement can get a bit much, so we’re always sweeping up or trying to keep the office a bit cleaner. It’s a bit of a struggle, to be honest. We don’t have any polished showrooms or fancy displays. It’s just us, the cement bags, and the constant hum of the GT Road. Most days are spent on our feet, checking invoices and making sure the loading goes smoothly. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now. We just focus on the task at hand.
