P S Academy

The 80 Feet Road is always busy with traffic and people moving about. Our place, P S Academy, is at 104A/335, right near the Navyug Nursing Home in Rambagh. It is a good landmark because everyone in this part of Kanpur knows where the hospital is. We have been here for a bit now. The building is just an ordinary one, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have a few rooms set up for our daily work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the dust off the benches because the road outside stays so dusty with all the trucks and cars. Kanpur weather is either too hot or too rainy, so we are always messing with the fans or checking for leaks in the ceiling. It is not a big corporate office with glass walls. We have some old cupboards for files and a small area where we sit to talk to parents. Most of the people who come here are from the neighborhood. We know the tea stall guy down the street pretty well. Usually, the mornings are quiet and then it picks up in the afternoon. We don’t have any fancy brochures to hand out. We just do our thing here every day and keep the doors open to let some air in. It is a simple, local place where we try to get the work done without much fuss or noise.
