C.H.S Education Centre

Located at S2, Tatya Tope Nagar, in the Barra II area of Kanpur, our school is right in the thick of things. It’s a busy neighborhood with shops and houses all packed in together. C.H.S Education Centre isn't some massive campus with sprawling fields; it’s a more compact building that fits right into the street. You can hear the sounds of the city all day long, from the vegetable vendors shouting to the motorbikes zooming past. We’ve got several floors, so there is a lot of climbing up and down for everyone. The classrooms are filled with wooden desks that have seen a lot of use over the years. We try to keep things running smoothly, but with the power cuts and the heat, it can be a challenge sometimes. The staff room is small and usually smells like ginger tea. We don’t have a big corporate office or a PR person. It’s just the principal and a few of us handling everything from admissions to fixing a broken light bulb. The students are mostly local kids from around Barra, so we know many of the families by name. It’s a very grounded place to work. We don’t make big promises, we just show up and do the work that needs doing every morning. It’s just how life is here in this part of Kanpur, where everybody knows everybody and the school is just part of the furniture.
