The Study Classes

We have been here at Netaji Nagar for a while now. The building is right on Pac Road in Shyam Nagar, just across from Hotel Manoj International. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic, but we are used to it by now. The Study Classes isn’t a huge place, just some rooms where we sit with the students and go through their books. Most kids come from the nearby houses in Kanpur after their regular school hours are done. We started this because there wasn't much else around here for extra help. Every afternoon, the rooms fill up and we just get to work. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, and we have to fix the chairs every few months. It is just how it is. People know us by the address mostly. We keep some extra notebooks and pens in the corner in case someone forgets theirs. It's nothing fancy, just a place to sit and learn. The evenings are the busiest because of the older students. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many papers moving around, it is a constant job. You can see the sign from the main road if you are looking for the hotel. We are usually here until late evening when the last batch leaves for home. It is a steady routine that we have grown to appreciate over the years. We don't have many employees, just a couple of us who know the subjects well enough to explain them to the younger ones.
