Madina Exports

You can find us at 55 Pardewan in the Defence Colony area of Lal Banglow. It’s a busy little corner of Kanpur. We’ve been operating out of this building for quite some time now. Our work involves exporting, so there’s always a lot of packing tape and cardboard boxes lying around the floor. It’s not exactly the cleanest place because of all the shipping materials, but we know where everything is. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving while we sort through the goods. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and handle the phone calls. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting into the lane because it’s a bit narrow, so there’s usually some shouting and directing traffic involved. It’s just a group of us working here, nothing big or fancy. We don't have a website that’s updated every day or anything like that. We mostly just stick to the work we know. The neighborhood is full of other small businesses, so there’s a lot of noise from the street. We take our breaks on the steps outside and watch the world go by. It’s a simple life, focused on getting the crates out on time and making sure the numbers match up. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, but we usually try to get home for dinner.
