Jk Cement Works

Jk Cement Works is headquartered over at Kamla Tower. It’s a busy building and we’re right in the middle of all the noise and daily paperwork. Dealing with cement isn’t exactly a clean business, even if we’re based in an office tower rather than a warehouse. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with construction sites and making sure the supply chain doesn't break down. There are always piles of papers on the desks and people rushing in and out with blueprints or delivery notes. We’ve been part of the local industry for a long time, so we know how the market fluctuates. It’s a lot of logistics and making sure the weight of the bags is right before they ship. Sometimes the bad weather affects the transport trucks, and that leads to some long days trying to fix the delivery schedule. We aren't trying to be the flashiest company around; we just want to make sure the local builders get what they need to put up walls and floors. The office at Kamla Tower is where all the planning happens, though the real work is out there in the dust and heat. We have a small team here and we’ve all worked together for quite a few years now. We know each other's coffee orders and who is likely to be a bit late on a Monday morning. It’s just a standard workplace where we try to stay organized despite the chaos of the construction world.
