Ashok Poha Mill

We are located right in front of the New Gunj Mandi on Basnatpur Road. It’s a busy spot because of the Mandi. There are always tractors and carts moving around, especially during the harvest seasons. Our mill stays pretty busy throughout the year. We do poha, so there is a lot of drying and flattening going on inside. The building is older, but it works for what we need. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that. We just open the doors and let the breeze in when there is one. On Basnatpur Road, there is always someone passing by. We know many of the farmers who come to the Mandi across the street. Sometimes they stop by for a chat or to see how the mill is doing. It’s a lot of manual labor. We carry heavy sacks and watch the machines all day. My hands are usually a bit rough from the work. We don't have a fancy logo or a big office. Just a desk in the corner with some papers. It’s a practical place. We focus on getting the work done and getting home to our families. Some days are longer than others, especially when a machine breaks down. We just fix it and keep going. That’s how life is here at Ashok Poha Mill. We’ve been at this spot for years and everyone around knows us. We just keep our heads down and work.
