Musthan Traders

We are based in Kannur, right near the New Store. It’s a pretty easy landmark to find if you’re in the area. Musthan Traders is just a local operation, and we’ve been doing things our way for quite some time now. The building we’re in isn't very big, but it’s got enough room for our inventory and a small desk where we handle the books. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading stuff. It’s the kind of work that keeps you on your feet all day. There’s always a truck coming in or someone picking something up. We don't have a team of receptionists or anything like that; usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who helps you out. The air in Kannur can get quite salty since we aren't far from the coast, and you can feel it on the humid days. We usually keep the shutters up to let the breeze in while we work. It’s a simple life here. We don't have fancy brochures or a high-tech system. We use a lot of notebooks and pens to keep track of what’s going where. It might seem a bit old-fashioned to some, but it works for us and we haven't seen a reason to change it. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the day ends with everything in its place. Sometimes the cats from the neighborhood wander in, and we just let them be. It's not complicated.
