Our shop is right near J. J. S. Hospital in South Bazar. It’s a good spot because there are always people walking by throughout the day. We sell a bit of everything that folks might need while visiting the hospital or just passing through the bazar on their way home. It’s mostly me running the place, with some help from my nephew in the late afternoons. The shelves are often a bit dusty because the road outside is always under construction or has trucks passing. We have a few plastic chairs outside for people to sit if they’re tired from walking. It’s not a big store, just a local counter where we talk to everyone who stops by. I’ve lived in this area my whole life so I know most of the faces that come in. We keep the stock simple and practical. If someone asks for something we don’t have, we try to get it by the next day from the main distributor. The South Bazar gets really loud during the local festivals and holidays. Sometimes we close early if the weather is too bad or the rain starts coming in. We don't have a computer system, just a thick notebook where I write down what we sell each day. It works fine for us. People come here for a chat as much as they do for the items. It's a friendly corner and we like it here.
