Our spot is in Kannur, specifically in the Talap area right near the Mahima building. If you know where the Ola Poherry Kovu Kam Road is, then we are easy to find. We deal with tech stuff, mostly fixing what breaks or setting up systems for people nearby. The room is full of wires and old screens that we haven't gotten around to throwing away yet. It is a bit cramped inside when more than three people are working. Most days start with a lot of phone calls about things not turning on or internet going slow. We just take them one by one. The rain in Kannur can be a real pain because it makes everything damp and the power gets touchy. We have a small kettle in the back for making coffee which gets used a lot. People from the local shops often drop by just to chat or ask a quick question about their phones. We do not have a secretary or anything like that. If the phone rings, whoever is closest to it picks it up. It is a bit disorganized to an outsider but we know where everything is kept. Talap is a good place to be because everything is close by. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the devices back to their owners without too much delay. It keeps us on our toes all day.
