Barcode Technologies

You can find us on the first floor at No.12/500E on Pandakkal Road. We are right near the Ganapathi Vilasam Pre-Basic School in Palloor, so it gets a bit loud when the kids are let out. Barcode Technologies isn't a very large operation. We mainly deal with those little sticker printers and the scanners you see in shops. It’s a niche thing, I guess. The office is tucked away in Koyyottu Theru. We have stacks of label rolls everywhere. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a paper warehouse. We spend a lot of time testing the machines to make sure they actually print clearly. If a ribbon snaps, it’s a mess to fix. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic because of the location, so it's mostly people calling us up when their billing system acts up. We carry a lot of different brands but they all pretty much do the same thing. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, so we usually carry the heavy boxes down ourselves when someone comes to pick up an order. We’ve been in this part of Palloor for a while. It’s a quiet neighborhood mostly. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out. It’s nothing fancy, just a room with some computers and a lot of hardware. We try to help out when someone’s scanner stops working suddenly and they don't know why. It is steady work.
