Eiesys Technologies is based up on the third floor of the JR Complex. It is a standard office building, and we have been here long enough that the security guard downstairs knows all of our names by now. Being on the third floor means we get a little bit of a view of the street, though it is mostly just other buildings and the tops of some dusty trees. We have a decent setup here with enough desks for everyone and a small corner where we keep the kettle for making coffee. The office is usually filled with the sound of people talking over their monitors or the occasional laugh when someone finds a weird bug in the system. We do not go in for all those modern office trends like bean bags or big game rooms; we just have comfortable enough chairs and good lighting. Most of us live fairly close to this part of town, so the commute is not too bad on most days of the week. We handle a variety of tech tasks, from basic coding to customer support, and we just take things as they come. If a project is running a bit late, we stay and finish it, and if it is a slow day, we might leave a little early to beat the traffic. It is a very relaxed atmosphere overall. We do not have a big corporate handbook telling us how to act every minute. We just treat each other like regular people.
