This company is a consortium, which basically means a bunch of us farmers got together to try and have a bit more say in how our produce is handled. We have a few tables and some ledgers where we keep track of what everyone is growing. It’s a place where farmers can come and talk about their problems, like the price of fertilizer or the latest pests. We don't have a polished way of speaking, and we don't try to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure the families around here can keep their farms going. The air is fresh out here, and we like it that way. Most of the work happens outside, but the office is where we handle the boring stuff like paperwork and planning. It’s a group effort, and everyone chips in where they can. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation, just to stay steady and help our community in Kanyakumari.
