We are located over at 26/1-19L/1A on 2nd Cross Street in Nesamaninagar. That is in Nagercoil, right in the Agastheewaram area. Kanniyakumari Fishermen Farmer Producer Company Limited is a bit of a mix because we have folks who work the sea and folks who work the land. It’s a busy life being between the water and the fields. Nagercoil is a good place for us because it’s central to everyone. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a room where we keep our papers and talk about the catch or the harvest. Some days the talk is all about the nets and the boats, and other days it’s about the soil and the rain. It can be a bit confusing trying to manage both, but we manage somehow. We aren't some big company with a lot of money; we’re just local people trying to get by. Sometimes the weather stops the boats, and sometimes the drought hits the crops, so having both sides helps us keep going when one is down. People drop by the Nesamaninagar office all the time to chat or share news. It’s a very local thing we’ve got going. We don’t use any complicated systems, just honest work and trying to get a fair price for what we produce. It’s a noisy, busy life, but we wouldn’t really know what else to do with ourselves if we weren't doing this every day of the week.
