It’s a decent sized village and we are right there in the middle of things. Running a resort isn't always as glamorous as it sounds. A lot of our time is spent on the boring stuff like fixing leaks, mowing the grass, and making sure the electricity is working right. We don't have a fancy corporate office. Our office is just a room in the building where we keep the files and the computer. We are just local people trying to run a good business for the community and the travelers. Kangra is a beautiful place, but we are usually too busy with the daily chores to notice. We have to manage the bookings and talk to the suppliers for the kitchen. It’s a lot of back-and-forth. We don't use any special marketing talk. We just tell people we are in Shahpur and we have rooms. It’s a simple setup. Some days are slow and some days we are running around like crazy. We’ve been through many seasons here and we know how to handle the rain and the cold. We just keep going, doing the work that needs to be done every day. We don't overcomplicate things, we just look after the property and the people who come by.
