Jungle Hut Hotel

Jungle Hut Hotel is located up on Bhagsu Road in Mcleodganj. If you’ve ever walked up that way, you know it can be a bit of a climb from the main square. We are nestled in among the trees and other buildings that make up this part of Dharamshala. Life here moves a bit differently than it does down in the plains. We deal with the mountain weather, which can change in an instant. Sometimes it’s foggy and you can’t see the road, and other times the sun is so bright you have to squint. The hotel is a practical building. We have rooms for travelers who need a place to sleep and a kitchen that stays busy during meal times. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We focus on making sure the beds have clean sheets and the water is running. The staff stays busy with laundry and general maintenance because things wear out fast in the mountains. We get a lot of backpackers and people looking for a bit of quiet. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything. We just keep the sign out front lit and wait for people to find us. It’s a simple life of managing guests and keeping the property in decent shape. Most days are quiet, and that’s just how we like it.
