Hotel The Woodz

Our place sits on the Motu Road in Village Jia. It's kind of halfway between Palampur and Dharamshala. The area is pretty quiet compared to the bigger towns nearby. We built this here because the view of the mountains is decent and it’s a good spot for people to stop while they are traveling. It's not a five-star luxury resort, just a plain building with rooms and a kitchen. We have some trees around and the air is usually fresh. Most of the time, guests are just passing through or visiting the Chamunda temple. We handle the cleaning and the cooking ourselves. The rooms are basic but they have what you need for a night or two. Sometimes the monkeys come around the garden, so we have to watch out for that. We keep the kitchen running for simple meals like dal and rice. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My cousin helps with the front desk and I look after the maintenance work. The road outside can get a bit dusty in the summer, but it's okay. We don't do big advertisements. Most people find us because they’re tired of driving and see our sign on the road. It's a simple building, nothing too flashy, just a place to sleep and eat a bit. We like living out here away from the noise of the city. The gate is always open so you can just drive in if you are passing by.
