It is quiet up here on Strawberry Hill. Most days, we are just looking out towards Dal Lake and making sure the grounds are kept up. Asia Health Resorts isn't some giant chain; it’s just a place tucked away in the 176216 area. Managing a resort means there is never a day off, honestly. If it isn't the plumbing acting up, it’s the garden needing a trim after the rain. We spend our mornings checking the rooms and making sure the linens are fresh for whoever is coming up the hill. The weather changes fast here, so we are always moving furniture around or checking the heaters. People come here to get away from the noise of the city, and we try to keep it that way for them. It is just us and a small staff from the local area. We do the cooking and the cleaning ourselves mostly. Sometimes the internet is slow because of the location, but that is just how it is in the hills. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just write down bookings in a ledger and talk to people when they arrive. It’s a simple way of running things, even if it gets exhausting during the peak season when everyone wants to be near the water. We hope the mountain air helps people feel a bit better before they head back home.
